Headwear and Gift Returns:

  • REFUNDS WITHIN 30 DAYS: Headwear, gift and swimwear items are gladly accepted for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.
  • EXCHANGES WITHIN 90 DAYS: Headwear and gift items (excludes swimwear) may be exchanged or applied as an in store credit up to 90 days from purchase. 
  • CONDITION OF PRODUCTS: Items should be returned unworn, unaltered and unlaundered in original condition, with all original tags and packaging intact. Items must be free from loose hairs, stains, odors (such as cigarette smells or other strong odors), makeup and hair care products. We recommend that you remove your makeup before trying on an item. 
  • HAIRPIECES: Cardani and Headcovers.com brand hairpieces returned in original, complete condition are accepted for full refund or exchange. Other brand hairpieces and wigs must abide by our Wig Return Policy, below.
  • PAYMENT METHOD: Credit will be given via the original payment method or account. If you have paid by check, money order or Western Union, we cannot issue cash refunds; Credit will be issued in the form of an in store credit.
  • SHIPPING: Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Please package items with care to ensure safe delivery back to us. If your item was shipped in a box, please pack it in a box (not an envelope) for returns. We cannot accept items back for return that reach us crushed, bent, permanently creased or otherwise damaged. Shipping fees are nonrefundable. If you received free shipping due to a promotion, you must maintain eligibility status for that promotion. Otherwise, standard shipping fees will be deducted from your credit.
  • DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS - Please open and inspect your items upon receipt of your order. Our quality control measures ensure that your items have been inspected at least three times before they are shipped to you. For this reason, product defects are extremely rare. Defects must be reported within 3 days of receipt. Defective items will be replaced (at no expense to the customer) for the same item ordered. If you prefer to replace it with a different product, your return will be handled like any other exchange. Please do let us know that you received a defective product so that we can make a note in your account to accept the product back.
  • INACCURATE SHIPMENTS: Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt of your package.  Omissions or inaccurate shipments must be claimed within 3 days of receipt. Accommodations are given for the exact item ordered.
  • EXCHANGE ORDERS: Exchange orders are charged a flat discounted shipping rate of only $2.99. This rate applies to domestic (USA) shipments only.
  • COURTESY SHIPMENTS: Items that are sent as a courtesy to you due to a lost shipment, a short shipment or a defective product are not eligible for refund or exchange.
  • PROCESSING TIME: Please allow 2 weeks for processing of your refund or exchange. 


Wig Returns

Cardani and Headcovers.com brand hairpieces are not considered a wig for return purposes. If you would like to return your Cardani or Headcovers.com brand "Hats with Hair" hairpiece, you may refer to our headwear return policy and use our headwear return form. All other wigs and hairpieces must follow our wig return guidelines.

 

  • EXCHANGES: Wigs are eligible for one time exchanges only. To be eligible for an exchange, a return authorization number must be obtained within 5 days of receipt. Wig must be received back by us within 10 days of receipt. 
  • CONDITION: All original tags and packaging must be intact, undamaged and complete (wig box, inside packaging, hang tag, hair net, etc). Wig must be unaltered, unworn, unwashed, free from hair products, damage and odors, exactly as received. Brushing, combing, cutting and styling a wig changes the texture of the fibers and is easily detectable by our returns department. Please keep this in mind when you are inspecting your wig. Wigs that have acquired a cigarette or other strong odors are not eligible for exchange. 
  • CREDITS: Because we special order your wig for you in your selected color, the wig manufacturer assesses a restocking fee to accept the item back. For this reason, a 25% restocking fee is deducted from your return credit. We recommend utilizing our free wig consulting service to assist you in your selection prior to placing your initial order. With our professional assistance, the need for returns is rare.
  • RETURN AUTHORIZATION: A return authorization number (RMA) is required and must be obtained from us within 5 days of receipt. The product must be received back by us within 10 days of your return authorization number being issued. Call or email our wig department to obtain your RMA and for assistance in selecting a more suitable product. Wigs returned without a return authorization number on the box will be refused. Fill out our Wig Return Form and include it inside of the box with your wig.
  • SHIPPING: Shipping fees are not eligible for credit. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Wigs and all packaging must reach us undamaged and complete for your return to be processed.
  • CONSULTATIONS: One wig may be exchanged per order. For this reason, we do not recommend ordering multiple wigs with the intention of keeping only one of them. If you are unsure of your selections, we recommend using our free (and friendly) wig consultation service. Our licensed cosmetologist would be happy to assist you with your selection.
  • INSPECTION: Please inspect your items immediately upon receipt of your package. Any defects, omissions or inaccurate shipments must be claimed within 3 days of receipt. If you find a wig to be defective, you must notify us and obtain a return authorization number within 3 days of receipt. Product must be received back by us within10 days of your return authorization number being issued. If your returned product is found to have a manufacturer defective, we will happily replace it for the exact same product ordered and reimburse you for the cost of first class return shipping. If you prefer to select a different item instead, we will process your return like any other exchange.
  • INSURANCE: To comply with insurances codes, we cannot accept a wig back for exchange or credit after customer requests and receives a receipt from us for a cranial prosthesis. 
  • RETURNED PRODUCTS: Wig returns that do not meet the guidelines above will be returned back to you at your expense.
  • SHIPPING: Exchanges are not eligible for free shipping. Our standard shipping charges apply.



Cosmetics

  • POLICY: To ensure that our products are sanitary, to maintain health codes and to protect our customers from tampering, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on the following items: Eyebrows, eyelashes, eyebrow adhesive, eyelash adhesive, wig shampoo, wig conditioner, It Stays, wig hair spray, cushion bands, eyebrow makeup, cosmetics or hair and skin care products. 
  • EXCEPTIONS: Wig caps and wig stands may be returned within 30 days of purchase for refund or exchange if they are unopened and in their original packaging.
  • DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS -  Our quality control measures ensure that your products are inspected at least three times before being shipped to you. For this reason, product defects are extremely rare.  If you find a cosmetic product to be defective, you must notify us with details within 3 days of receipt. The item must be shipped back to us (unaltered and in its original packaging) within 7 days of receipt.  To be eligible for claim, the item must be unworn, free from glue, unused and unaltered. If the product is found to have a manufacturer defect, we will reimburse you for the cost of first class shipping and promptly send you a replacement in the exact same color and item ordered. If you prefer to exchange it for a different item, your return will be processed like any other exchange. If upon receipt, the claimed product is found to have been altered, removed from its packaging or otherwise tampered with, it will be returned back to you and your account will be charged a $5 shipping and handling fee.
  • SHIPPING FEES: Shipping fees are non refundable.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are non-refundable.  If you have purchased an item with a gift certificate, we have an exchanges only policy.  Exchanges will follow the same policies outlined above. Items purchased via gift certificate are eligible for exchange or in store credit only.
