Headwear, Clothing & Accessories Returns
Refunds within 30 Days
- Headwear, clothing, gifts, jewelry and swimwear are gladly accepted for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Start a Return
Store Credit within 60 Days
- Headwear may be returned for a store credit up to 60 days from purchase. (Excludes clothing, jewelry, swimwear and gifts).
Condition of Products

Items must be returned unworn, unaltered, and unlaundered, in original condition with all original tags and packaging intact. Items must be free from loose hairs, dandruff, stains, residue, and noticeable scent.

For hygiene reasons, headwear must be completely scent-neutral to be resold as new. Items returned with noticeable household or environmental odors — including smoke, perfume, cooking smells, or body odor — cannot be accepted for return.

We recommend removing makeup before trying on items.
- These guidelines help ensure that all customers receive items in clean, new condition.
Cardani Wigs & Hair Pieces
- Cardani and Headcovers.com brand hairpieces returned in original, complete condition are accepted for full refund within 30 days. See our Wig Return Policy, below, for all other brands.
Payment Method
- Credit will be given via the original payment method or account. Exception: If you have paid by bank check, gift card, money order or wire we cannot issue refunds; Credit will be issued in the form of a store credit only.

For purchases made with bank-issued gift cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), refunds are issued to the original gift card used for payment. For security reasons, refunds cannot be transferred to another card or issued as a check.
Once a refund is processed to a gift card, the funds cannot be retrieved. If you no longer have access to the original gift card, please request a store credit on your return form or contact customer service so we can issue the refund as store credit instead.
We are not responsible for funds lost due to refunds issued to gift cards that are no longer in your possession.
Shipping
- To keep our prices as low as possible, we do not build the cost of return shipping into the price of our products. For U.S. headwear orders we offer a prepaid mailing label for $8.99 by clicking here: Start a Return. (Labels are available for US customers only) If you use our prepaid label, $8.99 will be deducted from your return credit. These labels expire within 7 days of being issued.
- Please package items with care to ensure safe delivery back to us. If your item was shipped in a box, please pack it in a box (not an envelope) for returns. We cannot accept items back for return that reach us crushed, bent, permanently creased or otherwise damaged.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you received free shipping due to a promotion, you must maintain eligibility status for that promotion. Otherwise, standard shipping fees will be deducted from your credit.
Defective Products

Please open and inspect your order upon receipt. We thoroughly check merchandise before shipping, so flaws are extremely uncommon. However, if anything arrived defective, please let us know within 5 days. We will replace defective products at no extra cost. If you prefer an alternate item instead, we handle that as a standard exchange. Please do contact us about any defective merchandise so we can make a note in your account to handle potential returns appropriately.
Inaccurate Shipments

We strive to provide fully accurate shipments every time so mistakes are rare. Please take a moment to review your order immediately after receiving it. In the unlikely event anything is incorrect or missing, let us know within 5 days of receipt. Accommodations are given for the exact item ordered.
Exchange Orders
- We don’t offer exchanges on headwear. For the quickest service, we recommend placing a new order for the item you want and returning the original item for a refund.
Courtesy Shipments
- Replacement or courtesy shipments issued to resolve delivery issues, shortages, or defects are final and are not eligible for refund or exchange.
Processing Time
- Please allow 2 weeks for processing of your refund.

Cardani and Headcovers.com brand wigs and hair pieces:
- These brands are not considered a wig for return purposes. You may use our more lenient headwear return policy and headwear return form for these brands. All other wigs and hairpieces follow our wig return policy, below.
One Time Free Exchange
- No fee is charged if you return your wig for a store credit towards another item. Store credits cannot be refunded to a credit or debit card. Wigs may be exchanged 2 times per order series. The second exchange is subject to a 20% or $10 restocking fee (whichever is greater). The third wig is final sale.
Refunds
- We will waive restocking fees on your first wig return if you elect to get your refund in the form of a store credit. If you prefer a refund to your credit card, a $10 or 20% manufacturer restocking fee (whichever is greater) will apply.
Return Authorization Number is Required
- A return authorization number must be requested within 5 days of receipt by emailing [email protected] or calling 281-334-4287. The RA number should be written on the outer shipping box as well as the wig return form. Do not write on the wig box. Fill out our Wig Return Form and include it inside of the box with your wig.
- International Orders: For international shipments, the return initiation window begins when the shipment is delivered or made available for pickup by the carrier, including release from customs. Delays caused by non-pickup, customs holds, or refusal do not extend the return window.
Timeline
- Return authorization numbers are valid for 3 days. To remain eligible for return, your package must be postmarked within 3 days of the original RA issue date.
Condition

To be eligible for return, the wig must be in original, factory-new condition, complete with the hair net, original tag attached, tissue paper, wig box, and all inserts originally included. All packaging must be returned in new, undamaged condition and may not be written on, crushed, taped, or altered.

The wig may not have been worn, brushed, combed, styled, washed, altered, or treated in any way. It must be completely scent-neutral, with no noticeable odors, and free from makeup, residue, loose hairs, or foreign matter, including hair-care products such as shampoos, conditioners, sprays, gels, or styling products.

Wigs returned in a condition that does not allow them to be resold as new are not eligible for return.
Returns Without a Return Authorization Number
- Wigs returned without a return authorization number are ineligible for refunds.
Consultations
- We advise against placing orders for multiple wigs with the intention of keeping only one. If you are uncertain about your choice, we suggest taking advantage of our complimentary wig consultation service to avoid unnecessary returns and shipping costs. Our knowledgeable professionals are available to assist you in making the right selection. If you need to return a wig, we highly recommend including a hair swatch and photos with your return. Defective Wigs
- If you find a wig to be defective, you must notify us within 5 days of receipt. Upon inspection, if the product is found to have a manufacturer defect, we will promptly send you a replacement wig in the same color and style you originally ordered at no additional expense. If you would like a different style or color, our standard return policy will apply. Replacement wigs issued to resolve delivery issues, defects, or shortages are considered final and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
Return Shipping
- To keep our prices as low as possible, we do not build the cost of return shipping into the price of our products. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
- Prepaid headwear labels are not for wig returns. We recommend shipping the wig via your preferred carrier and insuring the package as we cannot be responsible for misdirected return packages. If you use a prepaid headwear label to return your wig, we are not responsible for the delivery of the package to our location and a $19.99 return label fee will be deducted from your credit. (Headwear labels are weighted and sized for exactly what is in the box when the label is requested).
- The wig and manufacturer wig box must reach us undamaged or altered. Please do not affix tape or shipping labels to the wig box. Pack the wig box in a cardboard box to ensure that the original wig box reaches us in new condition.
- Exchanges are not eligible for free shipping or any other special promotions. Our standard shipping charges apply.
- Shipping fees are nonrefundable. If you received free shipping due to a promotion, you must maintain eligibility status for that promotion. Otherwise, standard shipping fees will be deducted from your credit.
Payment Method
- Credit will be given via the original payment method or account. Exchanged wigs are automatically paid for via in-store credit; Therefore, subsequent refunds will be issued in the form of an in-store credit. If you have paid by bank check, money order, gift card, wire or Venmo we cannot issue cash refunds; Credit will be issued in the form of an in-store credit.

Insurance
- To comply with insurance codes, we cannot accept a wig back for exchange or credit after the customer requests and receives a receipt from us for a cranial prosthesis.
Exceptions
- Some select wigs (such as clearance wigs and color rings) are final sale. These will be very clearly marked in red as "No Returns" in the product description. Mane Attraction brand wigs are not returnable.
For hygiene and quality-control reasons, most mastectomy bras and breast forms ship directly from the manufacturer. Because of this, returns must be sent back to the same manufacturer they shipped from, not to Headcovers.
When you request a Return Authorization (RA), we provide clear, step-by-step return instructions, including the correct return address, so your return can be properly identified and credited.
Returns received without an RA may not be traceable to an order and may result in processing delays or an inability to issue a refund or store credit.
Exceptions: Joy and AnaOno products are stocked and shipped from Headcovers and are returned directly to us.
Return Condition Requirements
To be accepted for return, items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received and must meet manufacturer return requirements.
This means:
- Items must be unworn and unwashed
- All original tags, packaging, and inserts must be included and attached
- Items must be free from makeup, deodorant, residue, or noticeable scent
- Packaging must not be marked, altered, or taped directly
Returns that do not meet these requirements may be declined by the manufacturer and may not be eligible for a refund or credit.
Joy Bras and AnaOno Bras (Shipped from Headcovers):

AnaOno and Joy bras may be returned for a refund or store credit within 30 days of purchase.

A return authorization number is not required for these brands. However, a completed return form is required so your return can be properly identified and processed.
Amoena, Nearly Me, Trulife and ABC Products:
- Free Exchanges: If you return your bra or breast form for a store credit towards another item, there are no restocking fees. Store credits cannot be refunded to a credit or debit card.
- Refunds: Refunds are subject to a 10% restocking fee. We will waive the restocking fee if you elect to get your refund in the form of a store credit.
- Return Authorization Number Required: A return authorization number is required and must be requested within 21 days of receipt by emailing [email protected] or calling 281-334-4287.
- Write the RA on the outer shipping box only.
- Do not write the RA number on the product box or packaging.
- Complete and include our Return Form inside the package.
- RA numbers are valid for 5 days. To remain eligible, your return must be postmarked within 5 days of the RA issue date.
- Returns Without an RA: Please contact us before returning your item. Returns sent without an RA (even if within the return timeframe) may incur a $25 manufacturer handling fee (not charged by Headcovers). We are happy to help you avoid this.
- Refused Shipments: Refused shipments are strongly discouraged. Because most mastectomy products ship directly from the manufacturer, refused shipments may not be traceable or creditable once returned, and a refund or credit may not be possible.

Non-Returnable Items – Sterile Surgical Bras: For hygiene and safety reasons, sterile-packaged surgical bras prepared for clinical use — such as the Pamela, Sina and Leyla styles — are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once the packaging has been opened. These products are intended for surgical use and are packaged under sterile conditions. Please double-check sizing and product selection before opening.
Defective Products
- Please notify us within 5 days of receipt if you believe an item is defective. If inspection confirms a manufacturer defect, we will send a replacement in the same color and style at no additional expense. Requests for a different style or color will follow our standard return policy.
Return Shipping
- Return shipping costs are not included in the price of our products. Customers are responsible for return shipping and are encouraged to insure their packages.
- Prepaid headwear return labels may not be used for bra or prosthetic returns. These labels are weight- and size-specific and may not route correctly. Headcovers cannot be responsible for packages that do not reach the correct return location.

Please do not affix tape or shipping labels directly to the product box. Pack items in a cardboard shipping box to help ensure the original packaging arrives in acceptable condition.

Shipping fees are nonrefundable. Exchanges are not eligible for free shipping or promotional shipping offers. If free shipping was applied to your original order, eligibility must be maintained or standard shipping charges may be deducted from your credit.

Correct Return Address Required

Many bras and breast forms ship directly from the manufacturer and must be returned to the manufacturer’s designated return address. Return instructions and the correct return address are provided with your return authorization.

Items returned to Headcovers instead of the manufacturer may still be forwarded on your behalf; however, a minimum $5 handling fee will be deducted from your refund or credit to cover processing, repackaging, and reshipment. This fee does not fully cover the additional shipping and handling costs incurred.

To avoid handling fees and delays, please follow the return instructions carefully and ship your return to the address provided.

Final Sale Items
- Some select products — such as items being phased out or certain fashion colors — are final sale. These items will be clearly marked in red as “No Returns” on the product page.
All Sales are Final
- To ensure that our products are sanitary, to maintain health codes and to protect our customers from tampering, all sales are final on the following items: Eyebrows, eyelashes, eyebrow adhesive, eyelash adhesive, wig shampoo, wig conditioner, It Stays, wig hair spray, face masks, cushion bands, eyebrow makeup, cosmetics, pillowcases, and hair and skin care products.
Wig Caps & Wig Stands
- Wig caps and wig stands may be returned within 30 days of purchase only if the package remains unopened, unused, and factory-sealed in its original packaging. Once opened, these items are not eligible for return.
Defective Products:
- Our quality control measures ensure that your products are inspected at least three times before being shipped to you. For this reason, product defects are extremely rare.
- If you find an item in this category to be defective, you must notify us with details within 5 days of receipt. The item must be shipped back to us (unaltered and in its original packaging) within 7 days of receipt.
- To be eligible for claim, the item must be unworn, free from glue, unused and unaltered.
- If the product is found to have a manufacturer defect, we will reimburse you for the cost of first class shipping and send you a replacement in the exact same color and item ordered. If you prefer to exchange it for a different item, your return will be processed like any other exchange.
- If upon receipt, the claimed product is found to have been altered, removed from its packaging or otherwise tampered with, it will be returned back to you and your account will be charged a $5 shipping and handling fee.
Shipping Fees
- Shipping fees are non refundable. If you received free shipping due to a promotion, you must maintain eligibility status for that promotion. Otherwise, standard shipping fees will be deducted from your credit.
Credits
- Any credits are given via the original payment method or account. Exception: if you have paid by check, money order or Western Union, we cannot issue cash refunds. Credit will be issued in the form of an in store credit or gift certificate.
- For purchases made with bank-issued gift cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) refunds will be issued to the original gift card used for payment. For security purposes, refunds cannot be transferred to alternative credit cards or issued as checks. In such cases, the refund amount will be applied to your account as a store credit. Please note that once a refund is issued to a gift card, we cannot retrieve these funds. If you no longer have possession of the original gift card, please request a store credit on your return form or contact our customer service or department so we can issue the refund as a store credit. Our company is not responsible for funds lost due to refunds processed to gift cards no longer in your possession.
Courtesy Shipments
- Items that are sent as a courtesy to you due to a lost shipment, a short shipment or a defective product are not eligible for refund or exchange.
Gift Certificates: Gift certificate sales are final. No refunds. Items purchased via gift certificate may be exchanged for merchandise or in store credit only. Exchanges are issued in accordance with the policies listed above.
