Vanessa Wig by Jon Renau | Lace Front
A Little Lift Goes Far
Vanessa is a short, straight shag with piecey layers that sit close at the nape and build light texture through the crown. Swept front layers angle across the forehead, while shorter pieces around the temples keep the shape open around the face. The cropped silhouette stays close at the neckline. As a short wig with a true shag wig shape, it keeps a little lift through the top while feathered ends sweep softly around the sides.
The lace front wig construction creates a softer front edge for off-the-face styling, while the open cap encourages airflow. Heat Defiant fiber lets you smooth or reshape the layers with controlled heat up to 350°F, though Jon Renau recommends 270°F to 280°F. Adjustable straps help fine-tune the fit.
- Lace Front: Hand-tied fibers along the front edge let you brush the short layers back without exposing a hard transition at the hairline
- Open Cap: Spaced wefts allow more air to circulate through the base, especially helpful in a close-fitting short style
- Heat-Friendly Fiber: HD synthetic hair can be straightened, curved, or given extra texture with heat up to 350°F, with 270°F to 280°F recommended for styling
- Short Shag Layers: Graduated pieces through the crown and sides create texture and lift without adding excessive bulk
- Tapered Nape: The 2-inch neckline keeps the back close and clean while balancing the fuller crown
