Important Note: These eyebrow wigs work best for those with no eyebrow hair or very sparse, thin eyebrow hair. While they can be used to enhance existing brows, excessive natural hair will prevent proper adhesion of the gel backing to your skin. For best results, the area should be relatively smooth to allow full contact with the skin-like base.

How To Use Your Women's Eyebrow Wig

Preparation

Thoroughly clean your skin: Start with completely makeup-free brows. Use a gentle cleanser followed by a toner to remove natural oils, which is crucial for proper adhesion. Allow the area to dry completely.
Assess your natural brows: These eyebrow wigs are designed primarily for those with little to no eyebrow hair. If you have some sparse hairs, they can still work well. However, if you have substantial natural eyebrow growth, the prosthetic may not adhere properly as the gel backing needs direct contact with your skin for secure attachment.
Test positioning: Before applying adhesive, hold the prosthetic up to your brow area to determine ideal placement. For natural results, align the inner edge with the bridge of your nose and the outer edge extending to a point that falls 45° from the outer corner of your eye.
Customize if needed: If the prosthetic needs trimming, use sharp, fine scissors to carefully cut the clear base between hair roots—never cut through the hair strands themselves. Make small, precise cuts to maintain the natural shape.

Application

Apply adhesive: Using our Secure Hold Eyebrow Adhesive (sold separately), apply a thin, even layer across the entire gel backing. Too much adhesive can seep through and look shiny; too little won't secure properly.
Wait for tackiness: Allow the adhesive to become tacky (approximately 30-45 seconds) before placement. This is critical for optimal adherence—applying too soon may cause slipping.
Position with precision: Starting from the inner corner of your brow:
- Place the innermost edge first
- Gradually press down along the brow line
- Finish with the outer tail
Secure properly: Use the teeth of a comb or a spoolie to gently press the eyebrow wig in place. This critical technique prevents the hairs from sticking to the adhesive. Using your fingertip risks getting adhesive on the hair strands, which would clump them together.
Set time: Allow 2-3 minutes for the adhesive to fully set before continuing with makeup application or other activities.

Daily Wear & Maintenance

Avoid excessive handling: Once applied, minimize touching or adjusting the eyebrow to prevent irritation and premature loosening.
Water exposure: While shower-safe for quick washing, avoid direct water streams hitting the eyebrows. Do not submerge in water or expose to pool chemicals.
Special occasion vs. daily wear: For special events only, you can wear your eyebrow wigs for up to 3 days continuously. For daily wear, we recommend removing nightly to maximize both skin health and prosthetic lifespan. If you do choose to wear your eyebrow wig overnight, we recommend sleeping with a silk pillowcase.
Makeup application: Apply your regular makeup after the prosthetic is secured. You can enhance the brows with eyebrow pencil or powder—apply with a light hand using short, feathery strokes for the most natural look.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Lifting edges: If edges begin to lift during wear, apply a tiny amount of adhesive with a cotton swab to the underside of the lifting area. Press gently to secure.
Shiny appearance: If the adhesive creates shine on or around the eyebrow wig, gently pat with translucent powder to create a matte finish.

Removal & Cleaning

Use proper removal technique:
- Apply our Eyebrow Adhesive Remover (sold separately) with a cotton swab directly to the underside of the prosthetic - never to your skin
- IMPORTANT: Keep remover away from eyes at all times
- Work from the edges inward, applying remover to small sections at a time
- Allow 30-60 seconds for the remover to dissolve the adhesive
- Using extreme gentleness, lift the prosthetic slowly and carefully to avoid tearing the delicate base
Clean the prosthetic thoroughly:
- Fill a small bowl with cool (never hot) water
- Add a tiny drop of mild shampoo
- Gently swish the prosthetic in the solution
- Rinse with cool water
- Pat dry with a soft towel—never rub
- Allow to air dry completely before storage
Skin aftercare: After removal, cleanse the area to remove any adhesive residue. Apply a gentle moisturizer or aloe vera gel to soothe the skin.

Storage & Longevity

Proper storage: Store in the original container at room temperature (65-75°F) away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and humidity.
Expected lifespan: With proper care and daily wear, most customers enjoy 2-4 months of use from each pair. Factors affecting longevity include:
- Frequency of wear
- Exposure to moisture and humidity
