It Works!

Works Great!! Still a tiny bit of water at the back of my head (just edges got wet) but essentially it does keep my Afro hair dry! A hair saver for sure! As a bonus, it keeps water out of my ears too!! I would definitely recommend and would buy again.

Works well

I put a regular swimming cap on and then put this over it and my hair was completely dry after submerging myself in the water for several hours.

For smaller heads

This is a great company and the package was so beautiful but this product is for smaller heads and it felt weird on my head and my hair still got wet but just a little bit. This would probably work better on young teenagers but cool concepts. This was tight on my head and gave me a small bit of a headache. my head is more on the larger size. I wish there were clearer instructions on how to put this on my head the instructions were very confusing.

Worked Great!

I do triathlons, so I swim a lot. I have used this under my Speedo swim cap for the past couple of weeks and my hair has stayed dry. I'm happy with the product.

Awesome Product!

I would recommend this to anyone that needs to keep water out of their ears, and to someone that does light swimming (like water aerobics) to keep their hair, for the most part, dry! Love, love, love this headband! When I do more "real" swimming, I wear it under the "Speedo Silicone Long Hair Swim Cap," which I also bought from this website, and love!

Hair is Wet

So, I finally used the hair guard last night and my hair still got wet. Not as wet as just the regular cap, but still considerably wet. Sigh... I really give up. It did protect my ears though.

not as good as i thought it would be.

I was really hoping my hair would be completely dry after lap swimming. I regularly use a swim cap that kept my hair about 80% dry . Using the headband I got it to be about 90% dry but I wanted the 100% . My hair is still wet in the back of my head and the front sides. I thought I would not have to wash my hair after using the headband but that is not the case.

Great idea

Fantastic item, just what I need. I have frontal fibrosing alopecia so my hairline is about 3 inches back from normal hairline at the front and I wanted something to wear when swimming that would cover this and stay put without having to wear a full swimming cap. This is perfect. Also arrived quickly. Thank you. I will be shopping again.

Thank goodness!

I have not been swimming much lately because I have "swimmers ear" and have to be very careful about getting water in that ear. Thank goodness, on the spur of the moment, I decided to include this in my order.

Wonderful!

Not Happy

Unfortunately my hair guard headband doesn't work. It does not create an air tight seal and my hair comes out soaking wet. I was disappointed by the product.

Bathing caps look great

My floral bathing cap doesn't keep all of the water out; but it keeps my hair out of the pool, keeps my hair from being saturated, and looks better than wethead. I was glad to find these.

You can find it here: headcovers.com/waterproof-swim-caps. The amount of protection that the hair guard provides also depends on what type of swim cap you are using with it. If the swim cap is too large or ill-fitting, water could still get in. Our customers have found that they see the best results for water protection when using the hair guard with a silicone swim cap.
