What Wig Accessories Do I Really Need?

• Wig Shampoo: Using regular shampoo on a synthetic wig can cause build up, dulling the fibers and shortening the lifespan of your wig,
• Conditioner or Conditioning Spray: To keep a wig smooth and tangle-free, you will need a wig conditioning product designed specifically for synthetic wigs.
• Wig Comb or Brush: Regular brushes or combs can cause static, pull out hair or damage the hair fibers.
• Wig Stand: You will need a wig stand to store your wig while you are not wearing it. A wig stand also allows air to circulate underneath as it dries.
• Heat Treat Spray: Required only if your wig is a heat friendly synthetic wig. Otherwise, it is not needed.
• Spray Bottle: A spray bottle of water allows you to spritz your wig with water and reset the style without having to wash the wig. It’s an essential styling tool. 

What Wig Accessories are Optional?

• Wig Hair Spray or Gel: Most women find that they need a styling spray to keep the hair in place, but it is not required for maintenance.
• Wig Cap: A wig cap is optional but most women find that it makes the wig more comfortable to wear. It also extends the life of the wig by reducing natural oils on the wig cap, allowing you to wash your wig less frequently.
• Grip Headbands: Wig grip headbands can help keep a wig in place. Some provide cushioning or padding if the wig is uncomfortable.
• Tapes, Adhesives and Clips: These are optional. Some women find that they are beneficial. We recommend trying on your wig first to see if this is something that may benefit you.
• Chin Styling Strap: If you want to style your wig while you are wearing it, this accessory can be a beneficial.
• Canvas Styling Head, T Pins & Styling Block: Many women find it useful to own a canvas head because it allows your wig to stay securely in place while you style it.
• Hand Steamer: A hand steamer is beneficial for those who need to mold the style of their synthetic wig. Most women will not need one and we only recommend this accessory for advanced wig wearers.
