What Is a Hat with Hair?

There are a few types of hair pieces that can be worn with hats:

• Detachable Bangs: Bangs that Velcro to a headband and are worn underneath hats and scarves
• Wig Hats: Baseball hats with hair attached to the cap
• Halo Wigs: Hair pieces or wigs with open tops that can be worn with most hats to create the look of a full head of hair
• Ponytail Headband: A patented Headcovers hair piece that features a headband with an attached ponytail to be worn under your baseball cap
• Headband Wigs: A headband with hair attached that provides full head coverage. Scarves or colorful headbands can be worn on top for a different look.

Is a Hat with Hair Right For Me?

Many chemo patients and women with hair loss appreciate hats with hair because they are so affordable, comfortable and easy. Some prefer a full wig or headwear instead. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros: 

• Cooler, easier and more comfortable than a full wig
• Versatile: Hair can  be worn with any hat or scarf
• Available in a variety of styles, types and colors
• Affordable

Cons: 

• Hats are sold separately
• Hats cannot be changed with some types (hat wigs & headband wigs)
