Hollis Thomases
Brand Ambassador

Hollis Thomases knows a thing or two about headwear. She joined Headcovers Unlimited in 2024 as its Brand Ambassador not even two full years after surviving two simultaneous and aggressive breast cancers, the treatment for which was 16 doses of chemotherapy, 27 doses of immunotherapy, a radical mastectomy, a full right axillary dissection, and 30 doses of radiation. Hollis chronicled her entire cancer journey and beyond on the website, CaringBridge. In addition to losing her hair during this process, Hollis also experienced alopecia areata nearly 20 years prior. To say that Hollis understands the emotions, trauma, and discomfort of partial and total hair loss is an understatement.

Hollis believes in giving back, a feeling reinforced by surviving her life-altering experience. She is a Peer Mentor for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and a fundraiser for Unite For Her. Professionally, Hollis is a writer, strategist, and analyst; she is also a former fitness instructor. Socially, Hollis puts the “E” in extrovert. She loves to bring people together whether that’s for outdoor activities like mountain bike riding, hiking, skiing, and nature walks; for food and wine; for travel; or for live music or events. She is also a self-proclaimed bird nerd, a hobby that her husband launched when he bought a bird feeder to amuse the cats.

Hollis is a graduate of Cornell University with a multi-disciplinary B.A. degree combining Sociology, Social Psychology, and Anthropology (“Social Relations”) with a minor in Communications.
