Danielle is the president of Headcovers Unlimited, and has been a pillar of support for cancer patients and women dealing with hair loss for nearly 30 years. She’s also the creative mind behind our Cardani brand, guiding the design process of headwear, wigs and other accessories from conception to reality.

Our leader’s journey began with a desire to address the needs her mother, Carol Galland, faced during breast cancer treatments. She wanted to help her mother find the products she wanted, which were missing in the market — including beautiful yet extremely comfortable hats, scarves and other headcovers, to inspire beauty and generate strength during the recovery process. A University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign alumna since 1993, Danielle has dedicated her life to helping people look and feel their best, no matter the challenges life brings.

In 2014, Danielle underwent a prophylactic mastectomy to proactively combat the breast cancer that her mother battled for two decades. Danielle’s personal experience has further fueled her passion for helping others. Beyond her professional role, she’s also a devoted mom, wife, and empty nester who finds joy baking, gardening, spending time with her maltipoo, and pursuing other artistic endeavors.
